Download of installation files does not start and there are no error messages

Q: When I am installing EPiServer, the necessary files is not downloaded and there is no error messages.

A: The problem is usually connected to the proxy settings in Internet Explorer. Try to turn on the automatic detection of the proxy server.

  1. Click on Internet Options in the Tools menu, choose the Connections tab and click on LAN Settings.
  2. Mark the checkbox Automatically detect settings.
  3. Click OK and save the settings.
  4. Try to start the installation program again.
