Q: How do I install EPiServer behind a proxy?
A: There are known problems with running the EPiServerInstaller program thru a proxy server. There is no installation package that you can execute locally, however there are some workarounds:
- Try to install with the EPiServerInstaller program (the problem does not occur for all proxies)
- Same as 1 but with the proxy settings disabled in Internet Explorer
- Execute the installation on another server where the installation program is not blocked by the firewall or proxy then copy the installed files to the protected server.
We are working on a permanent resolution to the proxy problem.
