Installation Instructions - Create+

Prerequisites for Create+ Modules

The following is required before you install the Create+ modules.

The following instructions are based on an installation including the Demo Templates for EPiServer CMS 5 R1.

EPiServer Mail

  1. Download EPiServer Mail 4.3.0.
  2. Install EPiServer Mail with the installer according to the EPIServer Mail installation instructions.
  3. If Ajax/Extension has been installed on the site, the following tag may be duplicated. Delete the redundant tag.

  4. Add dbo access to ASPNET user.
  5. Log in/out and check that EPiServer Mail includes the details.

EPiTrace

  1. Make sure that Adobe Flash 8 is installed.
  2. Download the installation zip file for EPiTrace 1.21.0.0.
  3. Install EPiTrace via EPiServer CMS Manager according to the EPiTrace installation instructions.

Extension (X3)

  1. Download Extension 3.1.603.8066.
  2. Install Extension via EPiServer CMS Manager according to the Extension installation instructions.
  3. This step should only be followed if Ajax has been installed in your environment. Proceed to step 4 if Ajax has not been installed in your environment. This step is not needed if EPiServer Mail is already installed.
    • Add the following code to web.config:
      <add tagPrefix="ASP" namespace="System.Web.UI" assembly="System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" />
    • Download and copy System.Web.Extensions.dll to root\bin. The System.Web.Extensions.dll is included in the download package for Ajax
  4. Do an IIS reset to get rid of the following error:
    • ComponentArt Dropit.TabStrip :: Unlicensed version.
    • ComponentArt Dropit.MultiPage :: Unlicensed version.
  5. Refer to the Administrator's Manual for information on setting up Extension.

ImageVault

  1. Download ImageVault 3.1.1.333.
  2. Install ImageVault with the installer according to the ImageVault installation instructions.
  3. Note The "License file" field in the "Select your license file" dialog in the installer is an optional field and can be left empty if you have an EPiServer Create+ license.

Interactive Scene

  1. Make sure that .NET Framework Service Pack 1 or .NET Framework 3.5 is installed on the server, and that Adobe Flash 8 is installed on the client.
  2. Download Interactive Scene 1.21.1.200.
  3. Install Interactive Scene via EPiServer CMS Manager according to the Interactive Scene Installation Instructions.
  4. Note If you have installed the demo template package for EPiServer CMS 5 R1,steps 4, 5 and 6 of the installation instructions should be replaced with the following instructions:
    • Create a new property according to the guidelines in the Interactive Scene application "startpage".
    • Open and change DemoTemplates.aspx.cs for Interactive Scene accoridng to the guidelines in the Interactive Scene application "startpage".
    • Set the property value to InteractiveScene Playlist.
