If a user belongs to many groups, the user cannot access a resource even if the user is a member of a group that is granted access to the resource.
This is a bug in Microsoft ASP.NET but has been solved in SP2, see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;321562 for more information.
